Overview

This leadership qualification gives you the opportunity to build both your managerial and care skills, allowing you to help more people or work in a varied setting. It also fulfils the regulatory requirement for those looking to become managers of children’s homes or adult residential and domiciliary services 

Aims

This qualification confirms competence and meets regulatory requirements for management roles in residential settings, domiciliary services, day services in community care, primary care and acute health environment, in supported living projects and community based, including those working in specialist areas.

Target audience

This qualification is for those already working in health and social care. You might be an assistant or deputy manager, or a manager who has not achieved a recognized vocational qualification at this level.

Assessment

This qualification will be internally accessed by a range of methods. This could include direct observation within the work place, a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit. Units are a mixture of competence and knowledge

Roles of combination

Learners must achieve 20 credits from the mandatory units in G1 and then chose any pathway within group b (a-f) to make up the remaining credits required for certification.
