Entry requirements

Level 4 qualifications aim to give practicing or potential first line managers the opportunity for further formal development in this role.

The qualifications do this by further developing first line management understanding and assisting participants in gaining the knowledge required at these levels.  Students do not have to be currently employed to study these qualifications, but may be engaged in voluntary activity or planning for work.

There are no formal entry requirements, but participants will have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programmes – which is likely to be Level 3 Key Skills Literacy and Numeracy or their equivalent in the UK, and previous knowledge and/or experience within a business management environment as a team leader.
