Overview

This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to explore wider roles in adult health and social care and children and young people’s settings and to develop their basic knowledge of  adult health and social care and children and young people’s settings .

 

Aims

This qualification is aimed at learners who would like to develop their:

Ø  Knowledge of health, social care, children and young people’s setting

Ø  Understanding of the similarities and differences between the above settings

Target audience

This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 and above

Assessment

This qualification will be internally accessed and learners will be required to create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit.

Roles of combination

Learners must achieve 25 credits or more – 20 credits from mandatory group A and a minimum of 5 credits from optional group B.

This qualification provides progression into

Ø  Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care.

Ø  Level 2 Certificate for Working in the Health Sector

Ø  Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adult) for England

Ø  Leve1 2 Certificate for The Children and Young People’s Workforce
